VOLUNTEER HELP NEEDED…
Our largest fundraiser needs your help!
Volunteers are needed to supervise at each home during tour hours. The tour shifts for October 2nd (Saturday) & October 3rd (Sunday) are in approximately 3 hour increments with 2 people planned to a house.
The shift times for both days are 11am – 2pm & 2pm – 5:15. You’re more than welcome to volunteer for 1 or more shifts on either day!
If you can not do a complete shift, please reach out to us anyway. We may be able to accommodate and will most likely be able to use your help!
As appreciation for your volunteer services, 1 Tour & 1 After Party ticket will be provided to you! This will be a great opportunity to mix and mingle in the post activity with all the JP Tour members, home owners, and other volunteers.
I hope that you will take part in this year’s event! Should you be inclined, please respond back by Sunday, September 19, 2009 to jeffersonparktourofhomes@gmail.com.

The Jefferson Park Community Yard Sale will take place rain or shine
September 18th from 8a.m to 3p.m.
We will be having our event in conjunction with the Colonial Hills neighborhood in an effort to draw a larger crowd. Each participant will receive a Jefferson Park yard sale sign and have their home included on maps which will be available on the Jefferson Park website.
In addition yard sale maps with all the participating homes will be distributed throughout the event. The fee this year is $10.00 and will cover your permit fee as required by the City of East Point as well as any advertising costs. You can have your Yard Sale permit dropped off to your home by contacting Randy Nash at randytnash@bellsouth.net or via phone at 404-202-2411.
Randy will be glad to pick up your fees and permits so that they can be delivered to the permit office in a timely matter You may also pick up a permit at the Planning and Zoning office located at 1526 East Forrest Ave @ Jefferson Station. Individuals wanting to drop off their own permit are welcomed to do so however they will need to show a valid receipt from the city and donate $5.00 to JPNA in order to receive a sign and have their home included on the website/maps.
The deadline for homeowners to turn in permits to will be September 14th. This is a great event for those looking to make some extra cash or just wanting to find a great treasure.
A BIG Thank You to Randy Nash for handling this great event once again!!!

Hello neighbors:
The sweltering heat certainly did not deter close to 100 neighbors from coming out and celebrating summer at the JPNA Block Party held this past Saturday June 26th. Great food, friends, family, sno-cones, moonwalks, music, the Fire Dept. Safe House for kids and even a visit from EP Mayor Earnestine Pittman rounded out the celebration.
HUGE THANK YOU’S are in order for the coordinators: JPNA Board Members Bobby Willoughby and Mari Bishop, for pulling it all together and wrangling JPNA Board Members and the fabulous neighborhood volunteers who worked so hard to make this event happen. ALL OF YOU ARE THE BEST!
BIG THANKS: to the East Point Police Department, the East Point Fire Department, In Concert Productions, More Than Moonwalks, Pike’s Nursery and KROGER on Cleveland for their generous support of the event.
Check out more pictures from the Block Party on the Jefferson Park Neighbors Facebook Page.
We hope that everyone had a great time!!!
